Your HOA portal, on your own website

Members Only lets HOA boards, property managers, condo associations, and other community groups run a private homeowner portal on their own WordPress site. Members log in to read announcements, download governing documents like CC&Rs and bylaws, find meeting minutes, and access architectural request forms or other community resources. It’s a focused alternative to expensive HOA management platforms when what you actually need is a secure place to share information with members and optionally collect dues — not accounting software or formal voting workflows.

Frequently asked questions

See the documentation for more details, or send us a message if you have other questions.

Is this a full HOA management system?

No, and that’s the point. Members Only is a private portal for content and communication — documents, announcements, meeting minutes, forms, and dues collection (optional). If you need accounting, formal voting workflows, or violation tracking, you’ll want a dedicated HOA management platform. Many associations use both: a management platform for the financial side, and Members Only for the homeowner-facing portal.

Can we grant access without charging homeowners online?

Yes. Access Passes let you grant and expire portal access manually — perfect for HOAs that collect dues by check, through a property manager, or via another process. No Stripe account required if you don’t need online payments.

What happens when a homeowner sells their property?

Expire the previous owner’s Access Pass and grant a new one to the incoming owner — takes about a minute. If you’re using Stripe subscriptions instead, the previous homeowner cancels their own subscription and the new homeowner signs up.

Can we keep some pages board-only and others open to all members?

Members Only uses one membership tier, so the cleanest approach is a separate site or section for board-only materials. For most HOAs, a single “members can see everything, non-members see nothing” model works fine — with sensitive board discussions handled over email or a separate private channel.

Is it secure enough for sensitive HOA documents?

Yes. Restricted content requires a logged-in member account — non-members cannot view it, and it’s not exposed to search engines. Your portal is only as secure as the underlying WordPress site, so use strong passwords, keep WordPress and Members Only updated, and consider two-factor authentication for board members. For governing documents and meeting minutes, this is the same security model used by most homeowner association websites.
